Job Offer: JRNCM Manager:Job description:Job location: Manchester The Junior RNCM (JRNCM) is a vibrant community of gifted young musicians aged 8 to 18 who come together to develop their talent in the Royal Northern College of Music. It is a government designated Centre for Advanced Training renowned for the high quality of education provision and musical excellence and is seeking to appoint an exceptional arts administrator to ensure an outstanding JRNCM student practice. The prosperous candidate will be pivotal in the management and co-ordination of JRNCM events and activities such as concerts, rehearsals, themed days such as New Music Day and Chamber Music Showcases, open days, ABRSM examinations, preparation sessions and external concerts. A clear communicator with meticulous organisational expertise, the prosperous applicant will show both sensitivity and confidence in dealing with young people, parents, tutors, internal teams such as Stage Management, Front of House, Sound and Vision, Porters, Security, and colleagues within RNCM such as Heads of Schools. As JRNCM is a busy working environment, it is essential that the prosperous applicant is flexible, adaptable, collaborative and understands teamwork within a high-pressured environment. this function provides an opportunity to develop operational and logistical processes, finding new and creative ways to make scheduling and planning more efficient, and through line management of the JRNCM Administrator, to develop working processes that support the Head of Junior Programmes' strategic vision. Ultimately, the postholder will be contributing to the RNCM's commitment to widening access and educating the next generation of musicians to secure the future of music. A passion for providing the highest quality music education for all, regardless of background, is therefore essential. this function will require in person working at RNCM on a Saturday, across 33 weeks of the year located on local term times.
