Works adjunct:Job description:Job location: Cardiff We are seeking for a Works adjunct to join the Direct Labour team (DLO) in the Estates department. Working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, you will be delivering an excellent maintenance service direct to our customers. In this function, you will: » Be responsible for basic reactive repairs to the components and equipment (Internal & external) of the building fabric, civils and structural elements. » Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks. » Assist other staff within the department on reactive and planned maintenance. » Act as 1st response to emergency situations to assist in roof leaks and basic repairs, clearing and cleaning areas that are subject to escape of water and flooding. » Comply with all significant health and safety legislation and safe systems of work. » Assist with managing critical and essential material stock levels. » Develop good working relationships with key customers to continually improve our service. We'd like to hear from you if you: » Are practiced in working within a reactive maintenance environment. » practiced in carrying out basic fabric, civils and structural repairs in a professional/commercial environment. » Have a good knowledge of job specific General Health and Safety in the workplace including risk assessments and method statements. » Can work well as part of a team and independently. » Can communicate and deliver excellent customer service.
