Offer: Research Fellow - Physical Activity & Health/Epidemiology:Job description:Job location: London, Hybrid About us The Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine (CSEM) comprises the BSc, iBSc and MSc programmes in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health located at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH). The CSEM (head, Professor Mark Hamer) is an integral part of the Bloomsbury Campus (Research Department for Targeted Intervention) of the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science. Current research foci within CSEM include physical activity and population health, sports injury, musculoskeletal pathology and injury avoidance, sports medicine and athlete health. Our research addresses real medical and public health needs, and has demonstrable impact on national policy and practice. About the function We are pursuing a research associate to contribute to a programme of work on physical activity and cancer. The recently formed Prospective Physical Activity, Sitting and Sleep consortium (ProPASS) comprises a range of international cohorts with thigh worn accelerometery. We aim to use ProPASS to examine the dose-response relationships between physical behaviours and incident cancer and mortality.
