Hours : full time / 37.5 hours per week.
Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
The University Payroll Team operates between 9-5:30, and observes core hours between 9:30-5 which the prosperous candidate will be expected to observe.
We anticipate that the prosperous candidate will work from the University offices in Falmer during their first three months, phased toward a flexible working, with 50% of their time working from the office.

We are pursuing an practiced Payroll Professional to manage a busy Payroll team. This an exciting opportunity in which you will work under the leadership abilities of the Senior Payroll Manager to ensure we operate an accurate and compliant Payroll function. You will be expected to work autonomously and assume management of the Payroll Team.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activity of the Payroll function, including:
   » End to end processing for three Payrolls
   » Real time reporting
   » Meeting statutory obligations
   » Financial reconciliations
   » Pensions contribution process
   » Line management, training and motivating staff
   » Global Mobility
   » Audit
To be prosperous, you will require a high level of accuracy and capability to understand and convey technical information to provide a clear explanation to others. An up to date expertise and practice of working in a busy Payroll Team is essential. practice of working with Pensions, Financial Reconciliations, and HR systems would be advantageous.
