Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Jewish Studies (maternity cover):Job description:Job location: Bristol The function The Department of Religion and Theology is seeking maternity leave cover for the Department's Lecturer in Jewish Studies. This is a fixed term 1FTE function starting on 1 Aug 2024 through to 31 May 2025 (or the earlier return of the post-holder). What will you be doing? The prosperous candidate will contribute to teaching within the department's undergraduate units and will also supervise undergraduate dissertations and undertake other teaching and administrative tasks as appropriate. You should apply if You should apply if you hold a PhD in Religion/Theology or a cognate discipline (or be near completion of their doctorate) and have the expertise and skills appropriate to teaching areas specified at mainly undergraduate levels. You should have the capability to work collaboratively with others in teaching and scholarship, to engage and enthuse students in both small and large group teaching and to provide effective academic support for students, including one to one.
