We are seeking for a highly motivated, organised person to work within the Diagnostic Laboratories to be responsible for the everyday preparation of various types of media for our Microbiology Laboratory. This will include following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create different media using various reagents, sterilising (using an autoclave) and working aseptically. Involves continually monitoring and maintaining stocks to ensure they are always in good supply for the service. Additionally, you will record, package, and deliver/collect laundry to our collection area bi- weekly. You will also be expected to execute general tasks within the laboratory.
You should possess good communication expertise, be precise, accurate and work in an efficient and organised manner. Computer literacy and good written and numerical expertise are also essential for this function.
Previous practice of working within a laboratory environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given.
