The function
The School of Health and Care delivers an broad range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent Prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.
We are seeking for a Senior Technician/ expertise Instructor (Healthcare Simulation) to support our clinical expertise teaching and simulation sessions. You will work as part of the School Healthcare Simulation Technical Team, and will assist with the operation, organisation, maintenance, safety and security of healthcare simulation spaces, classrooms and related facilities specifically to support our Health and Care courses. You will also contribute to the delivery of clinical expertise sessions, in particular Conflict Resolution training.
Our prosperous Candidate
You should hold a BSc (or have equivalent practice) in a significant discipline and have practice of providing technical support for clinical expertise teaching or healthcare simulation, maintaining and updating equipment, or practice of working in a healthcare setting. You will need to be confident in delivering training to staff and students, and practice of delivering mandatory training or expertise demonstration is essential to the function.
Additionally, you will be proactive and have excellent interpersonal, communication and team working expertise and be committed to equality and diversity. The capability to lgain new expertise and pass these on is essential to the function.
