Research adjunct:Western University, Department of PaediatricsJob description:Research adjunctby Western University, Department of PaediatricsEmployment type: Part-time Job location: London, ON Date Published: May 02, 2024 practice: 1 Year suitable education University Degree Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking for a Research adjunct (RA) to support numerous projects surrounding child & environmental health for the Children's Environmental Health Clinic Ontario (ChEHC ON), at Children's Hospital, LHSC. This includes helping implement the Land Base Healing/Nature for Healing program, involving prescribing nature connections & developing new naturalized areas (natureforhealing.org), knowledge translation work to promote the knowledge of how environmental issues & climate change effect child health (c2hc.ca), studies investigating the health effects of environmental issues and improving hospital sustaincapability. Responsibilities would include 1. Help organize interdisciplinary meetings that include community members for various projects. 2. Support grant applications to expand our funding. 3. Opportunity to support research manuscripts for CV building & future practice. 4. Coordinate social media presence for ChEHC ON (we have infographics/educational material developed for the roll-out aimed to support community engagement & knowledge translation). 5. Design infographics & social media videos, podcast editing, to support knowledge translation efforts. This is a part time posting (0.5 FTE - 20 hours a week), benefits inclusive. There is the possibility for increasing hours & promotion within the team in the future. candidates must have an undergraduate degree and demonstrate the capability to accumulate knowledge, flexibility, multi-task, creativity, initiative and passion for the health of our environment.
