Who we need
Nottingham College is currently seeking to recruit an practiced Learning Support adjunct for a September 2024 start. We are seeking for committed individuals to join our prosperous Additional Learning Support team. Key tasks and responsibilities include:
   » Provide in class support which may include scribing, reading, supporting in exam conditions and re-focussing.
   » Where required to provide personal care which may include eating and drinking, assisting to the toilet, using a hoist and assisting to learners to transport (training will provided for personal care tasks).
   » Liaising with other departments cross multi-team support (wellbeing and curriculum colleagues)
   » Update student records and where required log safeguarding concerns
What you'll bring
You will positively contribute to our learners' student practice by providing positive bespoke support across the curriculum. Nottingham College is a diverse and inclusive college and we welcome individuals who can embrace our ethos and contribute new ways of thinking to enhance our learners' practice. this function would include working with learners who have a wide variety of needs, both educational and physical, so practice is preferred, but not essential.
Key expertise and practice required include:
   » Working with a range of learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
   » Providing support to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities
   » capability to work in a challenging environment
   » capability to collaborate with a cross college network learning support and curriculum colleagues to contribute to long term improvements in the quality of learning support.
   » capability to deal with people and situations in a patient and objective manner
   » practice of working flexibly within a team
