INTO University of East Anglia are looking to recruit an Academic Manager to provide first class academic leadership abilities, management and pastoral provision for Foundation Science pathways. You will support the academic success and onward progression of our students and play an important function in the development of our courses.
The function focusses on the leadership abilities and management of the teaching team to ensure quality provision, an exceptional student practice and progression, as well as longer term strategy.
You will be expected to contribute to the teaching on the programme and / or on other programmes. All science subject specialisms will be considered.
Some of your key accountabilities and tasks will include:
   » Overall responsibility for the effective academic and administrative management of our validated science programmes.
   » Effectively manage a team of teachers in the most efficient and effective manner.
   » Plan and implement student academic improvement measures - review transcripts, progress reports and monitor students' academic improvement plans.
   » Design, monitor and review student interventions to ensure efficient delivery of student support to increase attainment and progression.
About You:
The prosperous applicant will have practice of teaching at Sixth Form / FE / HE level and be able to demonstrate effective leadership abilities and people management and the capability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
You must possess a significant postgraduate qualification and teaching qualification or practice and have strong organisational and people expertise.
Above all, you will have the capability and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate others and be driven towards the highest standards of Learning and Teaching.
