Job Opportunity: Executive Programmes Administrator:
Job location: London
This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months
The LSE School of Public Policy equips students with the expertise and ideas to transform people and societies. We are an international community where ideas and practice meet, creating professionals with the capability to analyse, understand and resolve the challenges of contemporary governance.
We are now seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated Programme Administrator for our Executive MPA and Executive MPP degrees to cover the maternity leave of the current postholder for an expected period of 14 months. The EMPA and EMPP are modular, part-time degree programmes for mid-career professionals seeking to advance in the field of public policy and administration. The EMPA is open-enrolment, while the EMPP is a closed-entry degree for senior levels of the UK Civil Service. The two degrees share some teaching components and both are taught in intensive week-long and weekend blocks that allow working professionals to combine their careers with world-class education.
The post-holder will play a pivotal function in the smooth and efficient running of the executive programmes. You will collaborate with key academic and professional services staff to proactively develop the programmes, student practice and learning community. Responsibilities will include acting as a focal point of contact for student enquiries, course administration, editing online learning resources, and coordination of assessments and examinations. You will be responsible for detailed planning of programme logistics, contributing to the student lifecycle from orientation to graduation, and interaction with LSE's central services to deliver a seamless student practice.
You should possess significant administration and customer service (student-facing) practice within higher education. You will also have excellent oral and written communication expertise, the capability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, and excellent IT expertise. A commitment to excellence in service delivery to students and colleagues is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to join a busy and friendly team.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
