As part of our growth strategy We are pursuing inspirational and highly motivated individuals to contribute to the development of the Department's research, teaching and learning activities. We welcome discussions with prospective candidates who have interests in specified areas of information systems and information technology such as digital transformation and business intelligence (see further details). We are keen to discuss new ideas in order to strengthen our research, complement our business support provision and support our teaching and learning activities.
You will have a good first degree in IS/ICT, computer science, or equivalent, as well as a higher degree in a significant academic discipline (e.g. digital transformation, business intelligence, cloud computing, etc.). You must also be able to demonstrate an established or emerging path of research with links to teaching and learning, and engagement with external stakeholders. We are especially looking for people with a ?hands-on' and ?can-do' attitude.
This post is being offered as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Digital Transformation and Business Intelligence. You will be appointed in the Operations and Information Management Department (OIM) at a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level depending on your expertise and practice. The department has three teaching groups: Global ICT/IS Management, Business Analytics, and Operations Management. In addition, we have four research centres: Advanced Services, Cybersecurity, Circular Economy, and Crises Management. We are planning to launch another research centre in Business Analytics in the near future.
There is a thriving teaching and learning, business engagement and research culture in the Department, which has a strong reputation for being rigorous, significant and entrepreneurial. We support participation in international conferences, teaching innovations and supervision of PhD/DBAs, and we encourage business engagement and corporate client opportunities.
