Lecturer Clinical expertise (2 posts) Grade 7:Job description:Job location: Liverpool Applications are invited from highly practiced health care practitioners with significant practice in clinical teaching and learning. You will be required to contribute to the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of clinical expertise teaching for the Undergraduate Medical programme (MBChB) utilising a broad range of teaching & learning strategies. The Undergraduate Medical Student (MBChB) programme is a five-year undergraduate course. You will have responsibilities to support and provide teaching and assessment across the 5-year programme. Overall, you will report to the Deputy Director of Clinical expertise and be accountable to the Director of Clinical expertise, Simulation & OSCE. The core tasks of the post will be; working hours are full time, 1.0 FTE. During teaching, the hours are: 08.15 -16.15 Monday-Friday with the addition of at least one 17.00 finish per week. Individual teaching sessions per week range from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12. There are a maximum of 5 teaching sessions per day and sessions are undertaken across all 5 days of the week. During the assessment period, hours of work may increase to 07.00 -19.00 on set-up and exam days. Flexibility during the assessment period is essential. Exact weeks of assessments vary from year to year, although always fall between May and August. Annual leave cannot be taken during the assessment weeks. Staff can apply for leave only in exceptional circumstances. One post is on a permanent contract and one post is available on a fixed-term contract for 5 years.
