An opportunity for a full-time Support Technician has arisen to provide in-house services to the Department of Computer Science ensuring that the building and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager and Senior Support Technician, you will be required to co-ordinate, assist and provide day-to-day support during building alterations, room moves and refurbishments in addition to the planned maintenance activities. You will have a ?can do' attitude to general ?handyman' tasks for repairs and minor works.
We are pursuing candidates with practice in building maintenance including small building projects, and who are familiar with Health and safety legislation and with current COSHH and Manual Handling Regulations. You will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, in Maths and English.1BTEC National Certificate or equivalent in a significant discipline and IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office and demonstrable aptitude for learning new IT systems are desirable.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 14 January 2022.
Interviews are expected to be held in late January or early February.
