An opening for a part-time (0.75 FTE / 28.13 hours over 5 or 4 days a week) Project agent and PA has arisen to provide high-quality support to Professor Marta Kwiatkowska in The Department of Computer Science. This is a fixed-term position until 30 September 2025.
The tasks involved in the function are varied, and include providing professional administrative support services to Professor Kwiatkowska, acting as the main point of contact for the PI (scheduling meetings, organising itineraries and managing local projects), providing assistance with project management, tracking and reporting, facilitating actions and interactions among senior members of staff and departmental teams, and supporting Prof Kwiatkowska's research group as required.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a level that ensures excellent written and oral communication expertise, with proven PA practice, demonstrated capability to effectively manage a portfolio of important activities/events, a track record of managing projects prosperously and delivering them on time and to budget, and excellent expertise in office IT systems, especially Word, Excel and Teams. The capability to work flexibly, proactively and to use initiative and tact to carry out a variety of tasks, both in a team and independently with minimal supervision, is required. practice of working in an academic environment and of organising events and travel is highly desirable.
