About the function
Registry are looking to appoint an Assessment and Awards Manager on full-time basis to supervise a portfolio of responsibilities within the areas of assessment and awards.
The prosperous applicant will report to the Head of Registry Operations and will be part of the Registry management team. They will lead a small, committed team to manage the workload of the assessment and awards team. The post holder will also have support from the wider Registry and Student and Academic Services (SaAS) teams to deliver large University events such as exams and graduation.
The prosperous applicant will have line management practice within the areas of assessment and awards and will be confident in influencing and directing staff from outside the immediate team. The post holder will embrace digital development and will work innovatively, across teams, to ensure positive student results. You will have a good knowledge of the student lifecycle and will have credibility within the post-holders' field of skills. Any practice of working with either academic calendars or the NSS will be advantageous although is not required.
The University has recently adopted a ?Working with impact' framework which enables managers and staff to effectively flex between working in the house and the campus, to best meet various requirements.
