About the function Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy to contribute to the teaching, curriculum development, research and consultancy in this discipline area. In particular, We are seeking to appoint someone to programme lead the PG Certificate in Education Mental Health Practice. This is a part-time post, 1.5 days a week, starting in Jan 2022. Within this function, you'll be responsible for providing high quality, accessible learning opportunities and an exceptional student practice in line with the University's strategic objectives, ensuring that employcapability and 'real-world' learning are at the heart of the curriculum. You'll engage in the development and delivery of an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials, including module design. You'll also engage in research which influences cutting edge practice, informs and inspires a research-led curriculum and contributes to the Research Excellence Framework. The prosperous candidate will have at least a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy and must be accredited by BABCP/BACP/UKCP/NCS, plus have broad practice of working with Children and Young people in a therapeutic context, preferably in an IAPT context.
