Pro Vice Chancellor expertise & Innovation:Job description:Job location: Kingston upon Thames This new function will support the university in advancing its expertise Exchange (KE) work as a central part of its new strategy. The function, which is part of the SLG and will report to the Provost, will be responsible for the strategic focus and operational delivery of our KE mission. This will include ensuring that the university is able to focus on areas of strength and credibility, in order to enhance our performance in the expertise Exchange Framework (KEF). this function will also be responsible for the development and delivery of our Degree Apprenticeships, and for identifying, supporting and promoting innovation across our educational. research and KE portfolio. The function will also need to be aware of the regulatory, funding and assessment landscape for KE and degree apprenticeships The Person this function will require a collaborative mindset, with the prosperous applicant demonstrating their capability to work across disciplinary and thematic structures all over the university. A sense of team-working will be essential in ensuring that the function-holder will be able to work with colleagues all over the university. In addition the prosperous candidate will be able to demonstrate their capability to build external networks, and to ensure that the university is responsive to the needs of employers. We are pursuing a pro-active leader, who is able to identify opportunities for the university, and can demonstrate the capability to follow up with actions.
