Job Opportunity: Lecturer (Finance):Job description:Job location: Manchester The Faculty of Business and Law brings together Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Manchester Law School in our award-winning building located in the centre of Manchester. Manchester Metropolitan University Business School is one of the elite, triple accredited by AACSB; EQUIS; and AMBA, indicating our strong commitment for high standards of research and teaching which is the backbone of our mission to transform lives, businesses, and communities. The Department of Accounting, Finance and Banking (AFB) is one of the largest departments in the North-West of England with over 1,500 students and around 55 dedicated academic staff. AFB is proud of being both an industrial- focused and research informed department that aims to provide cutting edge academic programmes, and to offer the best teaching practice to our students. We deliver Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Professional programmes through campus-located, online, and blended modes of delivery. As part of an expansion in the research portfolio, the Department is seeking to appoint three lecturers within the research and expertise exchange track. These posts will build on, and enhance, our research activities and portfolio, and will contribute to both the School's and University's research strategy. AFB provides interdisciplinary research with a clear focus on corporate governance and sustaincapability; corporate finance and financial performance; and banking. We welcome applications in all areas of finance, accounting, and banking, however, candidates in the areas of sustainable finance/investment; corporate governance; and financial technology are highly welcomed. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate strong potential for delivering high quality research in their areas of specialism and should possess a PhD (or near completion) in a related topic. prosperous candidates are expected to contribute to our innovative teaching delivery in the programmes offered by the Department and the School.
