An excellent opportunity for an Academic expertise Course Leader has arisen within the expertise Centre at the University of Bath.
We are pursuing to appoint an eager, hardworking, flexible, collaborative and committed Course Leader with the appropriate practice and vision to lead on the digital, academic study and employcapability expertise for the University of Bath, providing support for students on embedded and non-embedded courses.
You will play a key function in the planning, management, design and delivery of the expertise Centre's Digital, Academic and Employcapability expertise provision. We provide high-quality support with digital and academic literacy, language development, and other academic and employcapability expertise for home and international students across the University at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PGT) and doctoral level.
Working in partnership with academic departments, partners in Academic Services, and with fellow Course Leaders, you will:
   » fulfil a consultancy/advisory function, supporting academic staff in the design and delivery of a wide variety of digital, academic and employcapability expertise
   » lead and manage a teaching team of mixed backgrounds, expertise and practice
   » build engaging opportunities for learning in a variety of different ways, with a specific focus on supporting under-represented students groups
   » build study expertise support within academic programmes
   » deliver expertise development opportunities to students directly
   » manage the development, delivery and evaluation of all expertise provision for students at all levels of study
   » support the continuing teacher development programme for colleagues within the Centre through the design and delivery of CPD opportunities You may also be required to contribute to the Pre-sessional Programme for international students with assessment and lesson observations
We are seeking for an innovative, creative and resilient person. We require a Course Leader with an appropriate level of qualifications, together with the leadership abilities and management expertise and expertise essential to ensuring a consistently high performing team. You will manage the quality of teaching, learning and assessment of a diverse range of expertise provision to meet student needs.

The post is full time (36.5 hours per week). We offer a competitive rate of pay, generous pension scheme, 26 days of annual leave per year, as well as eight bank holidays and five extra discretionary days.
