Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, Botnar Research Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford, OX3 7LD. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated Dietitian to join the Centre for Rehabilitation Research in Oxford, at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, to be located at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford. The purpose of this new function is to provide dietetics skills to an NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) funded study; ?Maximising Mobility and Strength Training (MMosT) practiccapability Trial'.

As a Dietitian you will have a leading function in planning, setting up and managing a practiccapability randomised controlled trial assessing mobility and strength training with and without protein supplements for pre-frail and frail older adults within the NHS. You will recruit participants into the study, conduct follow up assessments and train other health professional to deliver intervention within the context of a clinical trial and support them to deliver interventions. In addition, you will monitor study protocol adherence and undertake data analysis and interpretation ensuring that the projects are delivered to a high quality, on time and within budget. You will also assist with the development of prosperous applications for research funding, preparation of publications, as either first or co-author as appropriate in high quality journals.

You must be a registered health care professional and hold a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSc, MSc or BSc in significant science followed by Post Graduate Diploma) with expertise and practice of working clinically in the field of dietetics. You will also have expertise and practice of methodology and conduct of health care research and established project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including capability to build relationships with key stakeholders, respect confidentiality and deal with staff in a professional, sensitive, and effective manner is also essential. A PhD in health sciences or a related field is desirable but not essential and we would encourage clinicians with practice of working in the NHS with older adults to apply.

This is a part-time appointment (0.5 FTE, 18.75 hours per week) for 20 months, starting 1 April 2022 until 30 November 2023.

This job includes the following tasks which will require additional security pre-employment checks:
• A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check due to regulated activity involving ?at risk' adults.
