DEBRA was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Hilton whose daughter Debra had EB - the charity was the world's first EB patient support group. Job Summary: We have a great opportunity for a life science graduate to join our friendly team supporting the Director of Research with the development of research initiatives and co-ordinate the activities of the Care and Research (CAR) committee. » Provide the CAR committee with information on research grants in dermatology involving contacting significant organisations and obtaining data. » Process grant applications including, organising committee meetings, correspondence, advertising and circulation of papers. » contact with the external organisations over the development of research initiatives. » Assist with data processing activities Person Specification » Post-graduate level (in a Life science subject) » practice in scientific or medical research funding administration » practice in committee administration » capability to follow procedures and policy, and develop them where appropriate » capability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail, prioritising tasks when required. » Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal expertise » capability to work as part of a team » Computer literate with accurate word processing expertise and sound expertise of Windows located applications » practice/interest in website management To apply: Please forward a CV and covering letter to: sagair.hussain@debra.org.uk Skills:
