Sustaincapability Manager:Job description:Job location: Carmarthen - ABOUT US - The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) is an employment-focused university, dedicated to ensuring students from diverse backgrounds develop the academic knowledge and practical expertise to thrive. We offer innovative teaching, state-of-the-art equipment and superb support across a wide variety of learning locations and courses. We are now looking for a Sustaincapability Manager to join us at our Swansea campus, on a full-time permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. - THE function - As a Sustaincapability Manager, you will be tasked with creating and implementing sustaincapability policies, strategy and action plans for our Group. Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health & Environment, you will work collaboratively with staff, students and stakeholders to embed sustaincapability across the university. Your function will also include: - Supporting the development and implementation of the roadmap to net zero carbon - Gathering sustaincapability data to help identify trends and bring about positive change - Ensuring we maintain our Green Dragon Level 5 EMS accreditation - Working on new initiatives and improvements to the sustaincapability strategy - Delivering Environmental and Sustaincapability site audits - ABOUT YOU - To be considered as a Sustaincapability Manager, you will need: - Previous practice operating in a lead sustaincapability position - Proven capability to establish partnerships, lead collaborative working and cultural and/or behavioural change - practice in planning and/or implementing environmental policies and strategies - Evidence of delivering environmental performance improvements - practice in the delivery and maintenance of environmental management systems e.g. ISO14001 and/or Green Dragon - An knowledge of environmental best practice and statutory requirements e.g. Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2016 and Environment Act 2016 Postgraduate qualifications within the fields of environmental management/sustaincapability or related disciplines would be beneficial to your application.
