We are now looking for a Lecturer in Early Years Education and Care to join our Carmarthen and Swansea campuses on a full time basis.

- THE function -

As a Lecturer in Early Years Education and Care, you will deliver a range of early years education courses both online and face-to-face as well as remotely at various locations in Cardiff.

You will join a new vibrant and innovative discipline and work within the early years sector, providing exciting and engaging learning opportunities to a range of learners.

Devising a range of lecturing and assessment materials, you will utilise a variety of lecturing styles and approaches to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Lecturer in Early Years Education and Care, you will need:

- practice in lecturing, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in a significant subject area
- practice in the design and development of module content
- IT proficiency and practice of using e-resources
- Knowledge and knowledge of current policies linked to children and education
- knowledge of current changes in the education and care sector in Wales
- practice and knowledge of the Early Years sector including child development and the importance of wellbeing for development, digital learning and digital literacy, playwork and community work
- practice and knowledge of working with children, families and/or professionals, with a focus on the 0-8 age range
- Evidence of capability to balance competing pressures of lecturing, scholarship, research, administrative demands and deadlines
- An honours degree in a significant discipline
- A postgraduate qualification (MA or above) in a significant discipline or working towards a higher-level qualification
