Job Opportunity: Capital Projects Manager:Job description:Job location: Chester 36.5 hours per week The Estates and Facilities Directorate is multi-disciplinary and provides a comprehensive estate planning, management and support service. The Capital Works and Estates Development team is responsible for all major and minor capital projects, to ensure the continued enhancement of the student practice as well as contributing to the business needs of the University. located in Chester, you will have proven practice of leading major capital projects and programmes across complex estate portfolios. You will be adept at communicating with and reporting to stakeholders confidently at a senior level, given the need to ensure that key stakeholder groups have confidence that the University is deriving best value and outcome from the capital investment in its Estate. You will hold a significant Degree in an Estate's Management subject, a significant Health and Safety qualification, and professional membership of a recognised Institution. Also required is demonstrable practice of leading a Facilities Management function within a University environment or similar. Strong leadership abilities and management expertise are essential, as you will be required to lead and inspire an internal team as well as external consultants and contractors.You will possess a significant technical background and expertise gained in the construction and property industry, thus giving the capcapability to lead the team confidently on technical matters.
