Job Offer: Lecturer in Teacher Education - Foundation Subjects Primary:Job description:Job location: Gloucester 1.0 FTE Job location: Francis Close Hall Campus, Cheltenham This post offers an opportunity to join the Initial Teacher Education subject community in the School of Education and Humanities at the University of Gloucestershire. We are a dedicated team, committed to providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all our intending teachers. We would like to recruit a new colleague to increase our teaching and research capacity in the primary age phase, with a particular emphasis on the primary foundation subjects. You must have Qualified Teacher Status and expertise across Key Stage 1 and 2. Previous practice in all foundation subjects is expected though you will be asked to specialise in one or two curriculum areas. Previous leadership abilities practice in Computing, Art and Design, Design and Technology, Music or PSHE would be advantageous. You will lead and contribute to a range of modules offered at undergraduate and postgraduate level and support trainees on a diverse range of practical teaching placements. You will be committed to excellent safeguarding practice and will aspire to make a positive difference in the lives of our trainees, school-located colleagues, children and families.
