We have a great opportunity located at our Bedford Sixth Form campus for a Teacher of English to become a key member of our Bedford Sixth Form Teaching department.
As a Lecturer in English, you will play a pivotal function in the success of our students through:
   » Helping students develop their expertise and reach their maximum potential through the delivery of courses and contributing to the development of Sixth Form curriculum and student practice.
   » Undertaking an agreed teaching commitment that develops students' knowledge, expertise and knowledge.
   » Enthusing, engaging and motivating students to lgain and foster their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
   » Planning, preparing and delivering a range of lessons maintaining a high quality learning environment.
Our ideal candidates will have current practice of teaching A Level English (preferably including AL English Language) and practice of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 - 18 year olds, alongside the following qualifications:
   » Degree in a significant subject
   » Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument
   » English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

income and benefits will vary for offers where enrolment on the L5 Teaching Apprenticeship is required.
