The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen's University Belfast, is seeking a Research Fellow to join our Biohaviour team and be part of our exciting programme - Re-Imagining Engineering Design (RIED).
The research will be carried out as part of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project - ?Re-Imagining Engineering Design - Growing Radical Cyber-Physical-Socio Phenotypes? which is led by Queen's University Belfast in partnership with Loughborough University, University of York and ten major UK industrial companies including Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Spirit Aero systems.
The prosperous candidate will be responsible for providing distributed software to support the integration of design and manufacturing systems. This will involve development of agent-located software models to support autonomous interaction among design components; and development of scalable software to support management of large populations of design solutions. You will also work in partnership with other Biohaviour Researchers in QUB, York and Loughborough delivering a team solution for the whole programme.

The prosperous candidate must have and your CV/Cover letter form should clearly demonstrate you have:
   » 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
   » A PhD or about to obtain in Computer Science.
   » At least 3 years significant research practice to include:
- Undertaking research in the area of parallel/distributed computing.
- Development of parallel/distributed software.
- Exploration of performance aspects of parallel/distributed systems.
- A proven track record of using experimental models to carry out analyses, critical evaluations, and interpretations of experimental data as significant to the research project.
- Working effectively as part of a research team in the development and promotion of the research theme
- Strong publication record, commensurate with stage of career
