The function
The Open University are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager who will be an integral member of the Foundations programme team, working closely with the Programme Manager, core programme team and partners. The function will require a collaborative and creative mindset to realise the ambitions of the expertise and Information strand of the Programme to achieve supported and lasting change in the way the OU approaches expertise and information management, aligned to the key strategic change directions.

   » A first degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent expertise and practice gained in a project management environment.
   » Track record of prosperous planning, management and delivery of transformational projects.
   » Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise including negotiating, influencing, liaison, networking, team-working and presentation expertise.
   » Confident ICT expertise including a high level of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the capability to use communications technologies to aid working and managing at a distance.
   » capability to build relationships, manage and work with distributed teams and with disparate stakeholders.
   » practice of Project Management methodologies, leading and managing change.
