Do you want to be at the forefront of combatting the traditional short life cycles of network hardware equipment?
We are pursuing to appoint a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) associate for a collaborative project between the University of East London & Cistor Ltd. KTP funding has been agreed for pivotal research to build a true picture of the use phase impact, embodied impact & relicapability analysis of new networking hardware equipment v's remanufactured.
If you have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, enjoy developing mathematical models & tools for complex IT operations & want to play a pivotal part in driving forward a more circular approach to IT that uses what we have for longer- this function will suit you! It's a great chance to be on the frontline of IT to protect natural resources, prevent carbon emissions & eWaste through the provision of data to make better choices.
The project presents a great opportunity to research, develop, design, build & test the tool that provides intelligence on hybrid new v's refurbished system design.

You will be working with world leading academic & industry experts on digital infrastructure& energy efficiency with a specialism in sustainable ICT infrastructure.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have the capability to work to deadlines, provide solutions to challenging requirements, and look forward to working with the state-of-the-art technologies that the project requires.
You will have consciousness of computer networking technology & have software development practice. Having practice or knowledge of agile product development; mathematical expertise; and critical thinking expertise will be an advantage.
You will have good interpersonal expertise with the capability to communicate effectively both verbally & in writing with a variety of stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate practice of being able to plan & prioritise workload and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
You will work for 24 months in this InnovateUK funded project with income scale between £30-£35k per annum depending on expertise & practice. There is also an additional £2,000 pa for training & development & you can undertake the existing skill development training offered by the University of East London. Alongside the training and development budget, there is also a budget for travel to significant conferences & events.
