Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology is a large and vibrant Department in the Faculty of Science and health. We occupy purpose-built facilities including laboratories and state of the art research equipment. We offer an excellent education to our students, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees accredited by the British PsychologicalSociety. The Department is continuing to grow and has a dynamic and friendly professional services team.
tasks of the function
We are seeking for a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Student Administrator.
The main function of this varied function is to attend to student queries and to provide administrative support to teaching, exams and coursework so that these elementsrun smoothly.You will contact with module co-ordinators and be the first point of contact for students, while working as part of a wider administrative team for the Department.
The position is for 12 months, working as a job share partner as well as a member of the wider team. You will focus on Year Two Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students. The requirement is for 14.4 hours per week, and we have a preference for these to be worked at the beginning of the week. We have a hybrid working pattern with a mixture of off-site and onsite working, in order to maintain provision for our students.

You will have excellent computer literacy expertise and the capability to work autonomously. You will be able to prioritise multiple demands and will enjoy communicating with students, academic staff and professional services colleagues. We are seeking for an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, has a good knowledge of the Higher Education system and the capability to learn, synthesize and apply complex information quickly. You will have administrative practice, an eye for detail and a passion for delivering a high quality, professional service.
