The Royal Agricultural University ?RAU? has been at the forefront of agricultural education for over 175 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-located sector.
As a senior member of the Institutional Planning & Governance Directorate this is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial function in the future development of the RAU. The post holder will be required to work directly with the Chair of Governing Council and the Vice-Chancellor to provide support and help to ensure high standards of governance are maintained.
The post holder will be expected to advise the RAU on its legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements and ensure that robust, efficient and effective policies, procedures and governance support are implemented and delivered. You will be required to manage the governance function, build effective relationships with governors, the executive, committee members and shareholders to advise upon governance policies and practices. The post holder will operate across the wider administrative and planning function to help ensure alignment between Governing Council matters and operational management.
Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate superb written, verbal and interpersonal expertise, together with substantial practice of university/Board level governance. Applications should be able to demonstrate an attention to detail, excellent organisational expertise and a availability to contribute to the wider RAU team.
