These opportunities include the post of: Lecturer or Professional Tutor in Music
The School of Creative and Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University is looking to appoint a Lecturer of Professional Tutor in Music, who will undertake teaching on the undergraduate BA and Major programmes in Music, as well as contributing to the MA Music and future PGR provisions. This is a permanent, part time position (0.5 fte). Candidates should have HE teaching practice in areas of Music Performance, Musicology, Music Analysis and Theory. We desire an capability to be able to teach across genres from Classical, Jazz through to other Popular Music styles. The ideal candidate must have practice of leading large student ensembles and would address Musicology enquiry from the perspectives of Music Performance and be able to contribute to the supervision of undergraduate (and where appropriate postgraduate taught) dissertations or other such research projects. Having an capability to teach areas of Music Education, Music therapy and/or other areas of professional musicianship would be welcome.
