An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, expertiseable and dedicated individual to join the UEA Wellbeing Service management team leading the talking therapies provision for UEA students and staff. The adjunct Head of Wellbeing (Talking Therapies) will manage a dedicated team of counsellors, CBT therapists and low intensity practitioners, who provide support to students and staff who are experiencing challenges related to their wellbeing and mental health. The team provide therapeutic support utilising the ?single session' or ?one at a time' model. You will provide operational management and clinical leadership abilities to the student and staff talking therapies teams as well as working directly with individuals themselves offering one to one and group-located support. Candidates should have a significant professional background and be accredited with a significant professional body, or able to demonstrate eligibility for such accreditation. Candidates should also have recent and substantial practice of working directly with individuals in relation to their wellbeing as well as having practice of managing others and offering clinical supervision as well as meeting all essential criteria of the person specification. You will work some unsocial hours at particularly busy periods in the academic calendar and will need to be able to prioritise, work flexibly and be committed to collaborative working. The capability to work competently using a variety of platforms and to engage a diverse student body students is also essential. This post is available on an indefinite, full-time basis from the end of March 2022 and will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Please note that UEAs talking therapies team are currently delivering their services remotely utilising Teams for video and voice sessions, as well as email and IM options for students. The prosperous candidate will have a hybrid working plan agreed that works for them and the service, which may include full-time work in the house, coming onto site for meetings as needed, working to a hybrid model, part in the house and part on site, or there are options for candidates who are not able to work in the house at all and would need to be on site full-time.
