Offer: Lecturer in Occupational Therapy - 11240-1:Job description:Job location: Uxbridge The Division of Occupational Therapy is seeking to recruit a full-time post at Lecturer level in the Occupational Therapy team. We are pursuing applications from occupational therapists who will enhance the reputation of the Division through their research and innovative teaching, promoting effective student engagement in learning. candidates will be an occupational therapist with a CPD portfolio commensurate with research-led clinical practice and education. We welcome applications from occupational therapists with professional practice of research and working in services significant to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy education. You will need to be able to work within a team and communicate effectively, with the capability to work flexibly and meet deadlines. Our pre-registration MSc is the only programme outside America to be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). You will also support the development of the learning opportunities within the Division and support students in practice, visiting them whilst on placement to ensure the achievement of the RCOT, ACOTE and HCPC standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist to develop their research and educational expertise. You will be part of a diverse, innovative and supportive Division focusing on developing the occupational therapy research base and delivering evidence-located teaching and learning opportunities to students. candidates should have a PhD or be near completion of a PhD. You will be an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Sports Scientist, Psychologist or Nurse registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or professional/international equivalent. candidates should be able to provide leadership abilities at programme level and have significant practice of teaching a range of topics significant to occupational therapy education. An essential requirement is for the prosperous applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
