Buxton and Leek College was recently graded as a "Good" college by OFSTED and has a team of dedicated staff who take pride in supporting learners towards their study and career goals. Our students have access to industry standard facilities, comprehensive support services and benefit from broad links with the University of Derby. This is a great opportunity to join our team on our journey to becoming an outstanding provider.
We are a prosperous and established FE College looking to recruit highly motivated Cover Lecturers on an hourly paid basis. You will aid the curriculum areas by delivering lessons already prepared by the teacher, supervising tasks and assignments, assisting students to understand the nature of the work set, managing student behaviour and minimising the impact of the teacher's absence on their learning.
The function is ideally suited to candidates who are seeking part-time work that is flexible and term time only.
Our learners are great students who are a pleasure to work with and we offer excellent facilities and resources. You should be qualified to level 6 or above and will be able to teach a diverse range of topics.
Actual hours and days will be described in a ?Schedule of Work'.
Please note that unfortunately, this function will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visas & Immigration points-located immigration system; however, applications are welcome from candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a valid visa via another route. Please consult the Home Office website For more information.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
