The research team includes scientists from the University of Liverpool, British Geological Survey, UK Met Office, Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans (LMV), University of Oregon and the Instituto Geofísico, Escuela Politécnica Nacional (IGEPN).
