This is an exciting opportunity for an practiced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or an established academic with clinical practice ofAdvanced Clinical Practice to join our academic team in The Leicester Schoolof Nursing and Midwifery, in a full, part time or secondment capacity,supporting delivery of the highly prosperous MSc Advanced Clinical Practiceprogramme, our new apprenticeship programme starting and a range of otherprogrammes across the School.
You will join a team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly staff and will workcollaboratively with colleagues across the School, Faculty and the widerUniversity. To reflect national multi-professional developments in advancedclinical practice, we are encouraging applications from individuals with variedprofessional registration, for example nurses, physiotherapists, occupationaltherapists and paramedics.
Ideal Candidate
To be prosperous, you will have significant academic background at a minimum ofMaster's degree level or the capability to provide evidence of education up to postgraduate, with evidence of continuing professional development. You'll berequired to undertake teaching at under and post-graduate level to studentsfrom a wide variety of backgrounds.
Contribution to the assessment process for students including the setting,marking and moderation of student work, individually or collectively as part of amodule team in conformity with quality assurance processes. You will berequired to design and develop innovative and engaging learning materials andassessments and participate fully in curriculum development, includingpersonal expertise and skills in high standards for advanced clinicalpractice.
There will be expectations to work collaboratively with clinical colleagues andother stakeholders. Support students, managers and assessors in clinicalplacements and across a variety of care settings will be vital to the function. Youwill be expected to actively engage in scholarship, research and professional /external earnings generation activities in ways that contribute to the University /School's objectives and contribute to ensuring up-to-date, leading edgeteaching.
