adjunct Technician:Job description:Job location: Durham The Department and function purpose: Durham University's Department of Archaeology is one of the UK's best Departments of Archaeology with an outstanding reputation for excellence in teaching, research and employcapability of our students. We are regularly ranked one of the top two Archaeology departments in the UK (e.g. Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, The Guardian University Guide 2021, Complete University Guide 2020) and one of the top five globally (World University QS rankings 2021). Our skills covers a broad chronological and geographical span, from the Palaeolithic to the present-day, and from South Asia to the Mediterranean, Europe and the British Isles. We have a range of cutting-edge laboratories, including well-developed facilities for DNA, isotopic and luminescence research, and ! are developing a range of lab-located commercial operations around our applied and scientific research skills. The Department of Archaeology has an broad commercial infrastructure and a network of heritage-sector collaborators.
