The Department of Marketing and Retail Management (M&R) has core research strengths in customer practice digital environments, service marketing and management, retail marketing and distribution management as well as consumer and shopper behaviour. Our staff publish in leading journals in our fields such as theJournal of Marketing, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Experimental Psychologyamong others. M&R is led by Professor Chanaka Jayawardhena and includes a healthy mix of research-active faculty and practitioner teaching fellows.
As a growing department, we seek to appoint a Reader in marketing to join our team. Individuals are expected to have a track record of publications in leading journals, with a full pipeline of papers going forward, andteach a broad range of marketing topics, including consumer behaviour, marketing research, digital marketing, etc. across the curricula of UG and PG programmes. You would also contribute to developing the research agenda of M&R, participate in grant applications and cooperate with companies and other external stakeholders. In your teaching, you are expected to emphasise the quality of the student practice.
