Working within the Department of Marketing, Operations and Systems (MOS), you will join a team of highly qualified academics with a passion for enhancing the student practice. You will contribute to research informed and technology enabled learning and teaching on our contemporary suites of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In particular, the department has a flourishing suite of courses including recently revalidated programmes at undergraduate level in Marketing, Business and Marketing and Business and Supply Chain Management, alongside a popular Masters' programmes in Business Analytics, you will undertake research and scholarly activities contributing to the Faculty's research profile and development of its next REF submission, together with contributing to consultancy, enterprise, and other earnings generation and business development activities.
We are seeking for candidates with skills in teaching and research in we are interested in candidates with particular interests in analytics, data modelling, quantitative methods and project management.
In addition to our already running London Campus, Northumbria University has launched a campus in the heart of the European Union in the city of Amsterdam. This provides an exciting opportunity for research and teaching activities and the prosperous candidate may be asked to become involved in teaching at any of our campuses or one of our other international partners.
You must have (or be close to completing) a PhD or DBA in a significant marketing field, ideally coupled with a record of publications. With excellent interpersonal skills, you must be able to demonstrate expert expertise in the field and be able to teach effectively on a range of academic and professional programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning. You will possess strong quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills and ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body.
