Job Opportunity: Innovation Manager (Partnerships & Regional Development) (101926-2101):Job description:Job location: Coventry Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2023. Do you have the skills and skills to help Midland's manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) innovate and improve? The WMG SME Group are seeking an Innovation Manager to help to deliver on our Digital Innovation for Manufacturing (DI4M) project. The project helps manufacturing SMEs to benefit from the latest in digital manufacturing technologies and thinking, helping them become more sustainable, productive and competitive. The ideal candidate will have practice in Management / Business Development, either within an SME or working with SMEs in the supply chain, with an knowledge of at least one or more of the following: » Digital manufacturing, machine-located data capture and sensors, networks and connectivity, and data analytics » Manufacturing processes, including products, production, assembly, automation and robotics » Products and Materials, from design, scale-up to end of life including recycling and onwards re-use. » Supply chains, lean manufacturing, manufacturing operational efficiency, business models » Developing winning collaborative bids and R&D propositions We are seeking for a great communicator and someone who is client-focused and has a proven track record of success with the capability to get things done working independently and within a team. The capability to build relationships with industrial and academic collaborators to harness capcapability, and to shape opportunities for business growth, is essential. Ideally, you will have practice of, or a drive to further, digital manufacturing and /or low emission mobility (such as vehicle electrification or intelligent vehicles) and a passion for working with manufacturing companies. This appointment is dependent upon part funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), for the project Digital Innovation for Manufacturing (DI4M), project number 50R18P02791, supported by the HVM Catapult, and will be subject to the continuation of both the availcapability of funding and the projects.
