Are you a self-starter who loves working collaboratively, problem solving and making a difference to health data research and innovation? Do you get really excited by BIG data, innovative data engineering and the potential to deliver and catalyse new research into pragmatic solutions for better health results? If so, you could be working with the Health Informatics Centre team (HIC - https://www.dundee.ac.uk/hic/) at the University of Dundee.
HIC are looking to recruit a Senior Software Developer for a new and interesting large health data project. The multi-disciplinary project team led by HIC will deliver a UK-wide health data analysis platform for rapid research, linkage and innovation. The outputs of the project will enable the delivery of insights from a comprehensive range of data partners and custodians including key support to government. The team will be looking to curate a standardised dataset accessed across a UK-wide platform for health data and connected datasets.
This is a full time, fixed term post to 31.03.2024 initially due to grant funding.
Your priorities will include:
   » You will be working as a senior software developer within the development team, where you will be leading on specific projects. The team operates in an Agile environment and you will be expected to transition between projects depending on priority.
   » For any projects that you are the project lead you will be expected to translate customer requirements into measured deliverable tasks which can be communicated with the management team and other members of the team.
   » As a senior developer you will be expected to take a function in the design and implementation of solutions including non-functional aspects such as performance, security, testcapability and compliance in addition to functional aspects.
