Job Offer: Business and Library Systems Analyst/Developer:Job description:Job location: London About Queen Mary University of London As one of the largest University of London colleges, Queen Mary is looking to invest in a talented and dynamic Business & Library Systems Developer who is seeking a new challenge within a complex and diverse applications group. The IT Services Solution Development group provides services across a large portfolio of cutting edge enterprise applications for business administration, teaching and learning and is responsible for the delivery, management and technical support of these applications. Job Purpose The Business & Library Systems team is seeking a talented Business & Library Systems Developer to provide second line support, maintenance and enhancement services for the University's business and library applications. You will need to have broad practice of the support and maintenance of business applications, with expertise of library systems being essential. Furthermore you should have practice of prosperous identification, diagnosis, management and resolution of application problems. As a key member of the Business & Library Systems team you will be instrumental in ensuring the overall design of mission critical enterprise applications and ensuring they are delivered effectively, reliably and efficiently. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or able to demonstrate significant practice in technical support. Strong expertise and practice in the following areas are essential unless otherwise stated: » Strong technical expertise and practical practice in Library systems » practice in SQL with capability to write simple to complex queries. » Creating and maintaining of interfaces between different corporate systems. » Able to provide user training and capability to create learning and process documentation » Good problem solving expertise and most importantly a desire and availability to learn.
