Job Opportunity: Research Fellow in Health/Medical Statistics:Job description:Job location: Oxford This exciting new post will provide health/medical statistics support for the researchers within the Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR). This will include providing methodological advice for grant applications, performing continuing statistical evaluations, teaching and supervising research students, and contributing to academic publications and reports.The post holder will also develop and lead and independent health research programme working collaboratively with other researchers within OxINMAHR and in other institutions. OxINMAHR is located at Oxford Brookes University and comprises 3 Research Centres and 4 additional research groups (with a total 6 Professors and 46 health researchers). The institute produces world-class translational health research that has an impact on health service delivery and clinical practice. In the last financial year (2020/2021) OxINMAHR researchers were awarded 28 grants totalling £4.8 million. The institute currently supports 46 Doctoral students including 2 Professional Doctoral programmes. OxINMAHR and Oxford Brookes University are partners of the Oxford Academic Health Partnership. We fully expect to support the post holder by funding attendance at advanced statistical modules/courses as agreed with line manager and by providing regular expert mentoring from a senior statistician.
