Inverness College UHI has locations at Inverness Campus and also the Scottish School of Forestry (Balloch), a growing hub for research, innovation and enterprise set within a 215 acre site. We are pursuing an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a Supported Education Lecturer on a supply basis. Job Purpose: We are pursuing a suitably skilled and qualified Lecturer to deliver on our Supported Education programmes from SCQF level 1- SCQF level 4. Your key function is to work as part of the team to deliver content of these programmes, with the capability to deliver a range of personal development and life expertise to encourage our students with mild to complex learning disabilities to increase their confidence and promote independence in their everyday lives. Our programmes are delivered on site at our Inverness Campus and through the Brightspace online learning platform. Classes are currently scheduled between 9am and 4pm Mondays to Fridays. Essential Criteria: » A significant degree or professional qualification » practice of working with young people and adults with learning disabilities Desirable Criteria » Previous practice in teaching / training young people with learning disabilities in an education setting Please note: the prosperous post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland prior to commencing employment.
