We have an opportunity for a Research adjunct to contribute to the project Advancing infrared and Artificial Intelligence-located techniques for real time mosquito age-grading and evaluation of malaria vector control interventions in Africaaiming at developing a new surveillance tool for Anopheles mosquitoes to accelerate the implementation of interventions against malaria vectors working with Dr Francesco Baldini, Dr Simon Babayan, Prof. Heather Ferguson and Prof Klaas Wynne.
The prosperous candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
Candidates should be qualified to SCQF Level 10 [Honours degree] in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or cognate discipline or equivalent and have specialist theoretical and practical expertise of infrared spectroscopy for biological analysis.
This post is full time with funding for 36 months.
