This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Research Funding, REF and Impact Team at Aston University.
The Research Ethics agent is a new post that will support the Research Integrity agent, and Research Integrity and Governance Manager, in delivering and supporting research integrity and governance processes. The function holder will be responsible for all operational and administrative aspects of the research integrity and ethics processes within the Colleges.
The function focuses on these areas of priority:
   » Implement and support best practice for administrative processes related to research integrity, governance and ethics
   » Initial assessment of applications for ethical approval to ensure they are complete and allocated appropriately
   » Ensure that all integrity and ethics resources, particularly online, are significant and up-to-date
   » Provide continuing support for the maintenance of the ethics processes, including the provision of guidance and training for users
The function holder will work across all of Aston's academic Schools with multiple professional service departments. The prosperous applicant will have the capability to write clearly, pay attention to detail, assimilate information quickly and work across a broad remit. practice working in a similar function, or within a University research support department, would be beneficial.
With excellent communication and organisational expertise, able to multi-task and work well as part of a busy team, you will work constructively with senior colleagues across our Colleges and professional services, completing tasks to a high standard in a timely manner. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment demonstrating planning and problem-solving expertise.?
