Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Real Estate to contribute to the established professionally accredited Real Estate undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in the School. This is an exciting opportunity to join our School in a function that brings together professional practice and academia. Development of employable graduates is a key aim of our School and you will therefore be expected to support the delivery of the real estate courses and provide an outstanding practice for our students. In addition to the capability to engage, motivate and support students, the function will provide the opportunity to contribute to our developing research interest in international valuation practice and global infrastructure.
The prosperous applicant will have previous professional practice in commercial and residential valuations and an consciousness of current trends and advances within the profession - both nationally and internationally. The function requires excellent communication and management expertise, a availability to engage with a broad range of built environment themes and an enthusiasm for the development of innovative teaching and research initiatives. The expertise and capability to teach other related real estate topics, such as real estate economics and accounting, is essential.
The School has an excellent staff-student relationship and healthy undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment representing a broad range of professionally accredited courses, supported by excellent links with both practice and professional institutions. Full support will be provided to develop academic expertise through the University's Academic Professional Excellence (APEX) Programme and a post-graduate qualification, if required.
