The Legal Deposit, Interlibrary Loan and Scan and Deliver Team Leader is an important function within Collections and Resource Description. You will lead the work of the Legal Deposit and Interlibrary Loan staff to ensure that all service standards are met in a timely fashion.
The post holder will ensure that reader ILL queries are answered within current targets and take responsibility for more complex queries that need resolution. This will require you to understand and implement the rules and regulations pertinent to Interlibrary Loans.
You will be responsible for working on strategic elements of the scan-and-deliver service and digital content provision. You will have a postgraduate qualification in library or information studies or alternatively, demonstrated practice in the field of Legal Deposit or Interlibrary Loans.
The post requires practice or expertise of dealing with staff management and supervision, including the capability to engage staff in a continual process of change and improvement.
You will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal expertise, with the capability to write technical documentation for the team. You will have a proven record of prosperous collaboration with others, and the capability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
This is a permanent, full-time function (37.5 hours per week).
